September Brewery Book Club

September 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Every other month, we team up with the Cambridge Public Library to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices. All over a fresh, craft beer, of course!

This month we are thrilled to read The Bullet Swallower by Elizabeth Gonzalez James! Based on (mostly) true events, The Bullet Swallower is a magical realism western about violence and revenge, a story that asks who pays for the sins of our ancestors, and whether it is possible to be better than our forebears.

We’ll gather in person in our Broadway location’s back taproom on Wednesday, September 4th at 7:00 pm for our monthly discussion. Grab a beer, cold brew, or kombucha at the front bar, then come find us in the back. The discussion is casual, and all are welcome – even if you don’t finish the book, we’d still love to have you.

So we can have a sense of numbers, please register on Eventbrite – it’s free, we just like to know how many folks we can expect.

There are print copies of The Bullet Swallower available at the Cambridge Public Library main Q&A desk. An E-book can also be borrowed through Libby. Let us know if you need help accessing the book.

Please note that our taprooms are 21+ and all guests should be prepared to show a valid, current government-issued photo ID at the door.
