Every other month, we team up with the Cambridge Public Library to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices. All over a fresh, craft beer, of course!
This month we are thrilled to read Fair Play: How Sports Shape the Gender Debates by Katie Barnes! This timely and relevant work traces the evolution of women’s sports as a pastime and a political arena where equality and fairness have been fought over for generations.
We’ll gather in person in our Broadway location’s back taproom on Wednesday, July 10th at 7:00 pm for our monthly discussion. Grab a beer, cold brew, or kombucha at the front bar, then come find us in the back. The discussion is casual, and all are welcome – even if you don’t finish the book, we’d still love to have you.
So we can have a sense of numbers, please register on Eventbrite – it’s free, we just like to know how many folks we can expect.
There are print copies of Fair Play: How Sports Shape the Gender Debates available at the Cambridge Public Library Main Q&A Desk. An E-book can also be borrowed through Libby. Let us know if you need help accessing the book.
Please note that our taprooms are 21+ and all guests should be prepared to show a valid, current government-issued photo ID at the door.
