Any savvy beer drinker knows that a beer is only as good as the ingredients that go into it. At Lamp, we’re lucky to work with some fantastic local producers who help us bring you the delicious brews you know and love! Join us on Wednesday, May 22nd, in the back taproom at our 284 Broadway location from 7-8 pm for this beer & malt tasting event with the fine folks over at Blue Ox Malthouse. Grab your tickets here.
The knowledgable team at Blue Ox will take us through a “Malt 101” lesson, where we’ll learn all about what goes into producing one of beer’s most essential ingredients, from harvesting to kilning, and beyond! We’ll taste beer together and chat about the ways in which our brewers use New England malts to produce some of our favorite brews. Experience the malts in their original form and, alongside them, taste some of the Lamplighter beers that were brewed with these locally-grown malt varieties!
Each ticket includes a guided tasting and malt class, malt samples (including a hot wort steep!), and a curated flight of four 5 oz Lamplighter Beers, each carefully selected to showcase the hearty, delicious character of New England-grown grains.
