We are a Cambridge-based brewery with two taprooms and an in-house coffee shop
Our focus is on aroma-packed and flavor-driven beers, with an emphasis on New England IPAs, barrel-aged sours, and special seasonals. We brew a variety of one-off batches that allow us to pursue our various whims, and we don’t shy away from funk, twists on tradition, and unique ingredients.
Broadway Taproom
Our 10,000 sq. ft. “Broadway” facility used to be Metric Systems, a wonderful neighborhood auto repair shop owned by a father and son team. They took a chance in 2015 and chose to lease the building to a start-up rather than sell to a developer (we’re incredibly grateful that they did), and we opened our doors to the public in fall of 2016. A majority of our beer is sold on-site via draft, cans, and crowlers, and we also distribute to a handful of liquor stores, bars, and restaurants in the surrounding area.
CX Taproom
In February 2022, we opened our second taproom location at Cambridge Crossing, a retail and residential development steps from the new Green Line Lechmere T Stop. Our second facility expanded our barrel-aging capacity, and gave us even more space to share delicious beer with our community.
Pepita Coffee Co.
Welcome to Pepita, Lamplighter’s in-house cafe located at our 284 Broadway taproom.
We’re open seven days a week! Take your order to go, or enjoy in the cafe – we have plenty of first come, first serve indoor seating. Our offerings include a full espresso menu, rotating cold brews and teas, hearty sandwiches, and fresh pastries from our friends at La Saison.
Crafted for All Commitment
Alongside many of our industry peers, we’re proud to have made the Crafted for All Commitment: a pledge to drive inclusive, equitable, and just behaviors in our organization to cultivate diversity and dismantle bias.
We tackle this commitment through several internal and external programs. Staff participate in regular trainings and conversations on topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Within our neighborhood, we partner with grassroots organizations monthly and utilize our space, beer revenue, and platforms to support their work. In our city, we invite food and other business partners (like bookstores!) to collaborate on hosting events for a diverse array of audiences. And within the beer industry, we stay highly involved in the ongoing work of the Crafted for All community and the Boston chapter of the Pink Boots Society.
We love lamp.
We’re an eclectic family with a wide variety of educational backgrounds and expertise. Some of us fell into the beer business by accident while others have years of industry experience. At the end of the day, whether we spend most of our time behind the bar or on the brew floor, we share a collective passion for producing (and drinking) delicious beer.
