Calling all beer and book lovers: will you join our brewery book club? Every other month, we team up with the Cambridge Public Library to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices. All over a fresh, craft beer, of course!
This month we are thrilled to read A Mind Spread Out on the Ground by Alicia Elliot! A Mind Spread Out on the Groubd by Alicia Elliot details a life spent between Indigenous and white communities, a divide reflected in her own family, and engages with such wide-ranging topics as race, parenthood, love, art, mental illness, poverty, sexual assault, gentrification, and representation. Throughout, she makes thrilling connections both large and small between the past and present, the personal and political.
We’ll gather in person in our Broadway location’s back taproom on Wednesday, November 8th at 7:00 pm for our monthly discussion. Grab a beer, cold brew, or kombucha at the front bar, then come find us in the back. The discussion is casual, and all are welcome – even if you don’t finish the book, we’d still love to have you.
So we can have a sense of numbers, please complete this form to register – it’s free, we just like to know how many folks we can expect.
There are print copies of A Mind Spread Out on the Ground available at the Cambridge Public Library Main Q&A Desk. E-book and digital audiobooks can also be borrowed through OverDrive or the Libby app. Let us know if you need help accessing the book.
Please note that brewery book club is 21+ and guests may be asked to show government-issued ID upon entry.
