Calling all beer and book lovers: will you join our brewery book club? Every other month, we team up with the Cambridge Public Library to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices. All over a fresh, craft beer, of course!
This month we are thrilled to read When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill! When Women Were Dragons is a rollicking feminist tale set in 1950s America where thousands of women have spontaneously transformed into dragons, exploding notions of a woman’s place in the world and expanding minds about accepting others for who they really are.
We’ll gather in person in our Broadway location’s back taproom on Wednesday, January 3rd at 7:00 pm for our monthly discussion. Grab a beer, cold brew, or kombucha at the front bar, then come find us in the back. The discussion is casual, and all are welcome – even if you don’t finish the book, we’d still love to have you.
So we can have a sense of numbers, please complete this form to register – it’s free, we just like to know how many folks we can expect.
There are print copies of When Women Were Dragons available at the Cambridge Public Library Main Q&A Desk. E-book and digital audiobooks can also be borrowed through OverDrive or the Libby app. Let us know if you need help accessing the book.
Please note that brewery book club is 21+ and guests may be asked to show government-issued ID upon entry.
