What’s the buzz on honey? Join us at 284 Broadway for a beer and honey tasting. Learn how and why we use honey in beer!
Join us in our back taproom at 284 Broadway as we go on a journey with Brian Woerner, the founder of the World Honey Exchange, through the world of honey. We’ll explore honey’s regional varietals, its flavor possibilities, and its unique ecological position. With its nuanced aromatics and its terroir-driven nature, honey is one of our favorite ingredients to brew with– you’re sure come away from this evening knowing why!
You’ll have the opportunity to sample three honey beers alongside the exact honey varietal we used in the recipe. We’ll talk about when and why honey is added in the brewing process and how that influences flavor outcomes. Plus, we’ll try a beer brewed with a different sugar adjunct to help us deepen our understanding of these brewing processes.
Each ticket is for one person and includes full access to the class, a tasting flight of four delicious beers (including a brand new, unreleased beer!), and three small jars of the honey to take home. We have a limited number of spots available for this special evening, grab your tickets now before they sell out.
The tasting takes place in the back taproom at Lamplighter’s 284 Broadway location. All seating is first come first serve, we’d recommend arriving early if you’d like to grab seats with your group.
This event is 21+ and all guests must show valid government issued ID upon entry. Questions? Get in touch: [email protected].
