A 100% Brett-fermented ale aged in chardonnay barrels.

This is the first beer to come out of our budding barrel program, so we wanted to make sure it was a funky one. After being exposed to our house strain of Brettanomyces yeast during primary fermentation, Astral Weeks spent five months aging in chardonnay barrels. Its slumber in oak led to a medley of fruity, funky, and champagne-like flavors. This is a beer meant to be sipped, savored, and pondered over. Named after the transcendental works of Van Morrison.
